Dear Reader,
Today is a new day. I hope you have found something to be happy about. I hope you have decided what you wanted to become, and who you are! I want to continue today with Saturday's edition of Time Out. Shout it from the rooftops! TIME OUT... I need a TIME OUT. I hope you find that moment, even if only for a minute!
Choose ONE thing to do better. We become what we BE by consistently being what we BECOME! Isn't that a great way of looking at things. So let's break this down. Say, you want to become a runner.Well, do you become a runner by watching people run, or do you become a runner by joining? It's that simple, if you want to bake a cake, you read and follow a recipe. Voila, you are a baker. If you want to create something, you get a pattern, and try not to burn yourself too many times with the glue gun, and instantly, you are a creator! What is in your mind, can play out to be magical, you just have to WANT it!!!
So, again, Choose ONE thing to do better, and we become what we BE by consistenly being what we BECOME!
Hilary Weeks is releasing another album. It comes out on October 23. She really wants it to make the Christian Pop Charts. Her songs are amazing. Make sure you buy her album on that day. Let's help her spread the word through music. This moment is MINE and I'm gonna TAKE IT!
Our first thoughts come from Mariama Kallon. Oh, what a wonderful, yet tragic story she has. Count your blessing, even the blessings of soap and toilet paper after listening to her story. She is beautiful. She has CHOSEN to RISE above the ugly in her life, and BE a person of great worth. A disciple of Jesus Christ.* Trust in the Lord through prayer. Esther 4:14; Doctrine and Covenants 121. He can answer our prayers. Put our faith in HIM and trust HIM.* Serve Others: make ourself availabe to serve. Doctrine and Covenants 84:87-88, Mosiah 2:17, Matthew 24: 40 Doctrine and Covenants 58:27: anxiously engaged in doing good. Many opportunites to serve all around. WHAT and HOW do we serve? Just by BEING THERE. Doctrine and Covenants 82:3 "...Much is given, much is required..." Ether 12:24 * Forgiveness: Matthew 11:28 "...I will give ye rest..." Learn to forgive your trespassers. Mark 11:26 Stand praying and forgive. It is not easy, we will struffle. "The value of shade is never known until the tree is cut down." Helaman 5:12 "... Remember my sons, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, hat ye much build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirldwind, yea when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of hte rock upon which yea are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

Emily Watts. She is funny. She spoke to us about habits. How to make good habits. It is said that it takes 30 days to make a habit, so let's get started on the few she has encouraged us to start. *Develop the habit of thick skin. You can be the BEST MOM you can~ but there's always something more. Habit of Happiness. *Do your children the honor of expecting hard things for them. Give the responsibility of only giving their best at all times. *Give your childrn the stability of TRADITIONS. I loved this one. We have our own traditions in our family, especially around this time of year We love getting new hats, scarves and gloves each year to welcome the chilly season. The old ones, we donate to those less fortunate. It is simple, but it is loving too. We also have the P's of Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we go for a drive to see the lights, then we come home to new Pajamas left by Santa's elves, Pizza, Popcorn, and Polar Express. We have only been doing this for two years now, but our children look forward to all year! What are your traditions. Share with me! Emily continues: If you want to be HAPPY, start treating yourself like a REAL person. Be the WOMAN you are and exclaim, "I AM WORTH IT!" Because you are. She closed with this, "May we live that HE will say, 'Well Done'."
I am going to close for the day. I hope you come and enjoy what you are reading. I would love to hear from you. Please comment, follow and help me spread the word. Also, if you are unfamiliar with some of the scriptures listed, most of them come from the Book of Mormon. I would love to give you a copy. No obligations. I will ship it off right away at no cost to you. Thank you for stopping by....
typing for you,
Heidi

Choosing to Become
Dear Reader,
Who are you? What defines you? What Who do you want to be? Simple questions with simple answers? Think harder. Truly ask yourself, "Who Am I?" I will give you a minute to think about that and in the meantime I want to share with you what I just experienced.
True Bliss. Encouragment, words of Inspiration, music that made me weep. I experienced a Time Out.
On Friday, October 7, 2011, my sister in law, Alicia and I flew to the Mile High City-Denver, Colorado. It had been quite sometime since I had been in Colorado, and I was anxiously waiting to land. The turbulence really shook me up!* get it? shook me up--- turbulence?! Anyway, onward and upward! Our girls weekend was starting and on the agenda: Mary Ellen Edmunds author of Buck Up, Little Buckaroo and others; Heidi Swinton, author of the Biography of President Thomas S. Monson, To the Rescue; and a musicial guest, Dallyn Vail Bayles. He recently performed with the closing company of The Phantom of the Opera and played the Phantom. He was amazing. They all were amazing!
CHOOSE TO BECOME
*** to become a little closer to the woman you want to be. ***
Mary Ellen was up first! This was her 75th Time Out. She spoke to me. I could see myself in her words that she spoke. He knows who you are. Everybody has a story. You are who you've always been... I am STILL a Child of God. YOU are REAL. Today you are you, that is True-er than TRUE!!! We need to find out: What is RIGHT 4 U and What is NOT RIGHT 4 U? Choose to BECOME who we really are. Just see who is behind who we are becoming. If YOU only knew how GOOD and WONDERFUL you are! BE KIND... "He came to Himself and He came home." He's waiting on the road for YOU. No one can steal our identity. Look forward to he home movies when you get to Heaven! Read the Book of Mormon. We are Children of God!
Dallyn Vail Bayles sang to us. My oh My! He sang to us! this is what I got from his music.
Believe you'll make it. His love can be seen in all directions. He show the way to: Peace, Life and Happiness. Put your trust in Him. Let Him Know that you're Real and that you're there! Can you hear Me? is there not in every soul a single spark? Bring Him Peace, Bring Him Joy, Bring Him Home. Then he sang one of my most all time favorite songs from the CD, Praise to the Man. I had goosebumps, butterflies and tears. It was that amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVPsy4mdvdg&feature=colike
He received a standing ovation from me and the other 2,000 women in attendance. You could honestly hear the Prophet Joseph singing those words, " I have seen HIM." Through music, we can bear testimony and give witness that our Father in Heaven in REAL. That he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to be our Master, Savior and Redeemer. I am so thankful to know that, and to have felt the spirit through that wonderful piece of music.
Our concluding speaker on Friday was Heidi Swinton. I was instantly in love with her. Can you guess why? That's right, we have the same name!!! Heidi is not that common of a name and when I run into another "Heidi" I can't help myself. Crazy sidenote, our waitress at Cracker Barrel on Aubrey's birthday had the same name too. She received a nice tip*! Heidi opened up with this, "How are you different?" Now think about that. What makes you different from the next? How ironic for me this weekend? How am I different from Heidi Swinton, or even Heidi the waitress? What sets me apart?
She shared this: Doctrine and Covenants 84:88 "...I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." I WILL atone for your sins, I WILL take for YOU the pain and anguish of your life. The Atonement is about the LORD going before us. More Holiness give me~ More Savior like thee. I am the Lord, My spirit will be in your hearts. Reach out and make a difference. Act upon inspiration. The sweetest experience in all of mortality is to be the answer to someone else's prayer. Do you know how the spirit speaks to you? Learn to Listen. Learn to Act. When the prompting comes we are OUT the door and down the street ready to serve. We are the angels the Lord is counting on. We are HIS HANDS. Do you agree? Those words so simple, yet so profound.
So to my readers, I challenge you to BECOME who you are to BECOME. This was the Friday night event. Saturday brought much more, so stay tuned!!!

I'm Thinking, I'm Thinking
Dear Reader,
Today, I start a new blog. "What?" You might say. And I will simply reply with, "yes, it's true." The last couple of weeks, my brain has been working overtime. So much to do, to see and to learn. Two weeks ago, I listened to an amazing talk from an Apostle. It was just what I needed to hear. You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZkxM9aHxHg&feature=yutube_gdata_player Don't worry, just because he is an Apostle for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, doesn't mean you HAVE to be Mormon to watch, listen and enjoy. He spoke to us as women. Oh, I am getting goose bumps just thinking about it. Please, won't you take a look? I promise you won't be disappointed.
More messages were to be heard this last weekend, as our 181st Semi Annual General Conference took place. We are a group of amazing human beings who are led by a Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. Along with his two counselors, Henry B. Eyring, Dieter F. Uchtdorf and the Twelve Apostles, I was so spiritually fed and uplifted that I just couldn't wait for more. For two days, they council with us, teach us, inspire us, and encourage us to do better, to repent and to live worthily. What a blessing it is to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am truly blessed by the gospel. I have a wonderful husband, four totally terrific children, and an extended family that wraps their love and support around me hourly.
So, are you getting the vibe of this blog? I never served a full time mission. I have a desire to serve, and to preach His word. I will lay out simple gospel principles, read the Book of Mormon with you, answer your questions, and if a question arises that I can not answer, I will FIND the answer. No pressure. Are you looking for something? I hope you will be able to find it here. Let me be a part of your world, as you read and enjoy parts of my world. Click FOLLOW and leaves any and all questions and comments in the COMMENTS. Subscribe my email, and follow on facebook. Help me spread the word and Truthfulness of the Everlasting Gospel.
Sincerely, Heidi
